[48:19]  1 tn Heb “fullness.”

[49:12]  2 tn Some translate these as comparatives, “darker than wine…whiter than milk,” and so a reference to his appearance (so NEB, NIV, NRSV). But if it is in the age of abundance, symbolized by wine and milk, then the dark (i.e., red or perhaps dull) eyes would be from drinking wine, and the white teeth from drinking milk.

[32:33]  3 tn Heb “the land with its cities in the borders of the cities of the land all around.”

[17:1]  4 tn Heb “and the lot belonged to the tribe of Manasseh, for he was the firstborn of Joseph.”

[17:1]  5 tn Heb “to Makir, the firstborn of Manasseh, the father of Gilead, for he was a man of war.”

[17:1]  6 tn Heb “Gilead and Bashan belonged to him.”

[17:1]  sn On the assignment of Manasseh’s territory in Gilead and Bashan, see Josh 13:31.

[128:6]  7 tn The imperative with prefixed vav (ו) conjunctive indicates purpose/result after the jussive in v. 5a.

[128:6]  8 tn Heb “sons to your sons.”

[128:6]  9 tn Heb “peace [be] upon Israel.” The statement is understood as a prayer (see Ps 125:5).
